Not currently taking new students.
Though I am not currently taking new students for regular lessons, I plan to add more resources to this website for those looking to learn more about the guitar. You can also still contact me if you’re looking to set up a one-off lesson and we can see if there’s something that works for our schedules.
About me
I have played guitar most of my life and started teaching private lessons in 2006. I currently play in a rock band that started as a solo acoustic project called Lish Bills. My experience includes touring the U.S. and Europe in the metal band Armed for Apocalypse, as well as playing regionally and locally in various bands and ensembles across many genres. Past projects include Touch Fuzzy Get Dizzy and Red Giant. I teach math, science and guitar at a public high school, which has added significantly to my understanding of how people learn. I often use strategies I got from this experience in my guitar lessons.
My approach to teaching guitar is holistic, focusing on universal aspects of the instrument that can be applied to any genre. I use this approach differently with different ages and skill levels, and lessons are always tailored specifically to the student’s needs and goals.
